B2 Challenge Mode runner here, unfortunately I lost my Sandshrew but I caught a Sandile who should hopefully do just as great, and really hoping she'll survive against the Electric types of Nimbasa Gym. I'll most likely have to grind a bit before then, I still have Route 5 and 16 to train at.

Well, gotten to Nimbasa, again...not all been smooth sailing. Lost Yangtze to a Dwebble's Rock Blast in Castelia Gym, and a trainer's Darumaka smacked Columbus with a Facade that ended up being a crit and left him on 3 HP...in the middle of a sandstorm. That really stung me, I admit, and I feel sorry...but fate deals a cruel hand sometimes.

Been bolstering my team with fresh catches, mostly. I was trying to get an Emolga, but winding up with a Cottonee and Mincinno of good natures isn't bad at all. I may deliberately get an Audino on Route 6 just so I can implement the no dupes rule for rustling grass more often...granted, I only have three attempts as far as finding a new catch is concerned if I run into a dupe first, and Audino is the most common rustling grass 'Mon, but I'll see what develops.

Probably going to train Sandile at some point. Either way, Elesa's around the corner...let's hope I can do better than last time.

Well, there's a kid back on Route 36 who gives you one...after you get a specific phone call out of him.

There's also one available at the Pokeathlon Dome on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, but that requires points, and one can be obtained as a winning prize in the Bug Catching Contest...but I'm not sure if you have access to the National Park.

And as a general note, Jasmine's Steelix is Lv. 35 - I do recommend more grinding.

I guess my first run is over? I made some poor plays and Elesa kept Volt Switching all over the place. I caught a Sandshrew and Sandile beforehand but I wasn't careful with training them and they both kicked the bucket before the Gym. I was hoping to rely on Lucario's Bone Rush, but... that Emolga was the end of me. Game over?

I think I really screwed up my nuzlocke. I ended up getting a shiny Patrat and whenever it faints, I reset and try again. I'm thinking of just trading these Pokemon out and doing a new nuzlocke, or should I just keep on with this one? I just beat the flying gym in Black.

Lost Dixie to a Pursuit from a trainer's Liepard when I mistakenly thought Fake Out would be used, and then Sharpie, my one hard counter to anything Elesa uses, was OHKOed by a crit Secret Power from a goddamn Audino. So, with only one catch in reserve and nothing that Elesa's party can't hit either neutrally or for double damage, my only option is to grind like crazy and power through Elesa with sheer force.

I haven't even faced N outside the Ferris wheel at this point, mind you. I just hope this pays off.

Lost Verde in cleaning out trainers in the Relic Castle...and so I've brought in Liepard. I have Archen as a good back up, and one that I will need if I want to sweep Cheren with relative ease.

Just beat N, but I'm still not sure if I'm satisfied - I'm honestly considering training them all to Lv. 30 at least, because I'll be damned if my run ends at Elesa again.

Well, just lingering in Driftveil. Probably going to call it a day for now. Finally got some fresh catches...Aurum and Meow II have been swapped out for Ducklett and Deerling at the moment, just to give my team an added edge over Clay and also have one more member as a solid counter to Pignite. Herdier from Cold Storage is alright, I suppose. Was hoping for a Vanillite...but beggars can't be choosers.

I am dearly hoping that I get a Joltik in Chargestone Cave, or a Tynamo if I am incredibly lucky. A Klink is also alright. I just need something that can actually counter Flying types.

With Athena and Versailles complementing my two new additions, Clay will be a cakewalk. Skyla, on the other hand...not so sure.

I too, am too stubborn to simply switch a pokemon out that is confused. I gamble away others lives, hoping to they get lucky and never hit themselves during their confusion. Luck willing, they snap out of it the turn it is inflicted, or soon after.

I define areas by the name of the location. If multiple rooms are conjoined and share a name than that counts as one whole area. Mt. Moon only gets one catch, Rock Tunnel only gets one catch, etc, etc.

Some people allow an exception for some areas, but, I'm more of a purist on the idea of one catch only.

Got through the Roserade of nuzlocke ending and Jupiter's skunk. Had to use Cursehax to do it, but I don't think I could have without it. I found out Geisha has a high damage Electric Hidden Power, so that's nice. Training on Cycling road to get all my Pokemon to 20, then I'm moving on to Hearthome.

I'd say Chimchar, but only because its STAB types are great assets for the first 2 gyms, with Mach Punch wrecking Roark and Fire moves destroying Gardenia, and these two can be tough with the other starters if your wild catches are unlucky.

However, Infernape is frailer than Torterra and Empoleon.

Really it's your choice.

At the Elite 4 in Y. The run has gone horribly, horribly wrong. Starter's dead, Blastoise is dead, Lucario is dead. Running half the A Team and half B Team

Azumarill 76, Florges 75, Snorlax 71, Yveltal 55, Diggersby 53, and Butterfree 50. Trying really hard to grind everyone to over 60 before taking on the E4, but it's taking so long and Butterfree is worthless in Victory Road.

Went for the fifth badge yesterday. Clay was ultimately easy enough...but unforeseen circumstances transformed the battle into a one-man show on the part of Versailles. Getting lucky with the opening salvo, I OHKOed Clay's Krokorok. He sent out Excadrill next, and I switched to Athena, hoping to end his presence swiftly with a Wake-Up Slap or two. Being outsped, however, a Rock Slide flinched her, and scored a crit, hurting quite a bit despite its lack of effectiveness. Stopping to heal up, Excadrill buffed up with Hone Claws. Trying once again for a hit, she was flinched yet again, but not a lot of damage was done despite the buff. Finally, just aiming to get one hit off before switching back to Versailles, I tried one last time...and then Excadrill smacked her with a Bulldoze that did far more damage than I expected it to.

She fell, and Servine was sent in, and he was a goddamn hero. I set up Leech Seed as he went in, knowing I could deal neutral damage at best. Twice he was hit with Rock Slide which sent him to 2 and 1HP from a full health bar respectively, and yet he did not flinch. With Leech Seed, Mega Drain, persistence, and the use of my last healing items, victory was secured as Excadrill fell and I one-shot his Palpitoad.

With Athena's fall, however, all five of my first five catches have been laid to rest...a somber feeling. But I must press on.

After more grinding, I've powered through Chargestone, picking up a Ferroseed along the way. I'm hoping for an Emolga on Route 7, or a Zebstrika. Just on the verge of facing N. Hope this goes well.

I was in a double battle with some thugs, and they both had Scraggy. I had in escavalier and Cinccino.
I killed one with wake-up slap from Cinccino, but underestimated 2 things:
1: Escavalier is REALLY fucking slow, and couldn't outpace a scraggy 6 levels lower than me.
2. Scraggy2stronk, went for the HJK and knocked my Cinccino clear out.

You catch the first thing on the route, then immediately wondertrade it. If you're doing species or legendary clause, you can wondertrade what you received.
Pretty much just amps up the randomness while increasing difficulty since you've been provided with shitmons and breeding rejects.

Unless I'm running Braixen, I usually skip trainers in a nuzlocke up to Glittering Cave for catches. Saves EXP and grinding time.

I'm really excited about the Hippo. I've never used one before. Also the Oddish is surprisingly boss as I grind it. Plus, I'm fine with two grasses seeing as EVERYTHING else is weak to water, or will be.

Currently fighting trainers I skipped. Debateing if I should even risk the double Furfou. I guess my Hippopotas and Lunatone can beat them.

Female starter! Let's hope she lasts longer than Olaf did. Nature is not half bad, either. same for Shinx. Rash is best for Luxray, though, and it's a way to that, provided she lives that long. Bidoof...eh, he's no Buck, and a Quiet nature is going to hurt him if he makes it to Bibarel, seeing how Speed is Bibarel's second best stat and Sp. Attack is its worst. But I'm sure I can use him. Just going through the starting motions at this stage. Not much to say, but hopefully it'll be good goings.

Well, my Y Wonderlocke is slowly coming to an end.

The run has been going smoothly right until Snowbell's Forest (or whatever the fuck it's called) where a trainer's Trevenant killed my Amoonguss with Destiny Bond. Not gonna lie, it's death gave me sads. Never expected it to be such an useful little Pokemon. ;-;

I decided to replace him with another Pokemon I never used - Carnivine. Let's hope it will live up to its predecessor's name.

Also, any suggestions for the 6th Pokemon? I already used all of my routes so this is my final roster for this run.

Started out with a female Relaxed Chespin, and since the original rules stipulate that the original starter is 'bound' to you, I suppose, I'm not entirely sure if I'm supposed to trade her off. Caught the Pidgey on Route 2, traded that...and got a Modest Feebas.

Modest is great for Milotic for whenever I finally get a Prism Scale, but absolutely goddamn terrible for Feebas...but you take what you get.

I'm doing my first Nuzlocke run on HG, and holy shit - I think the game hates me. I've gotten terrible RNG in the form of critical attacks (on the enemy side), status effects, pokemon encounters, missed attacks, and, well, basically everything.

Update for my Y Wonderlocke.

Sadly, my second best Pokemon - Garchomp - bit the dust while we're getting through the Victory Road. The whole situation was pretty stupid, so let's just say his death involved getting Screeched by Electrode and then getting hit by Kangaskhan's Outrage.

Another smaller death occurred while I was exploring the waterfall near the top of Victory Road. Realising I don't have a safe switch in against Golem I had to sacrifice my HM Slave Marill. RIB in peace, brave warrior. ;_;7

Garchomp was replaced by Scizor, who I hope will be helpful against Diantha and that Dragon bitch.

I'm about to tackle the League now, so wish me luck nuzgen.

The battle starts and the Chikorita tanks all of my 'mons attacks while single-highhandedly knocking most to red (I have a Poliswag, a Treeko, a Spidermon, and a Spearow). Should I add the little guy to my team replacing Treeko or keep him as an auxilliary for Treeko? Little guy has really grown on me.

Snoopy's edit is pretty good, it edits out some of the weird changes like Water/Dragon Gyarados and bullshit things like Swords Dance Machamps that you can't get later in the game.
Also there's TMs in pokemarts but I'm not sure whether that was from Snoopy or the base game.

Carnivine unfortunately fell in the battle with Siebold, but the rest of the team did the job beautifully. Scizor was probably the biggest surprise, beating Drasna and Diantha pretty much by himself. Not bad for a last minute addition.

I just thought up a fun REALLY challenging play-through. The Rules:
1. No using Pokecenters or abusing any other method of healing your Pokemon other than items (beds, placing in boxes, putting in daycare ect.)
2. No purchasing items of any kind
3. Pokemon may be placed in the PC but not removed (hence you can't get a new Pokemon if you're currently carrying a team of 6)
4. You black out it's game over.

Basically you have to plan on saving PP and maximizing your EXP per move the only way to get new PP is through Leppa Berries, Ethers, TMs/HMs, Heart Scales relearning moves, depositing a spent Pokemon and catching a new one.

I just tried it in Ruby (so I could abuse Pickup) I managed to make it to the 4th gym before blacking out to a random crit. I still had 2 Leppa Berries, a Max Ether, a Heart Scale and two PP UPs left so I should have been able to make it quite a bit further. I don't know how feasible this is but I had a ton of fun in my playthrough and I thought it would be interesting to see how far others could make it.

It was also quite funny to end up back at your mothers house when blacking out half way through the game.

This is bullshit,I was at the final battle against N in Black version and I swapped out my Basculin for the Zekrom I had just caught.I did this because I wanted a little more bulk on the team.However,I didn't know that if you choose to add the Zekrom it replaces the pokemon in the lead spot.It ruined everything,I had my strategy ready to go with my eviolite Boldore as my lead.But as the battle started the game put Zekrom up against N's Reshiram.I panicked and switched to my specially defensive Cofagrigus.I got hit with a Fusion Flare and it did around 35%.I made up my mind and proceeded to click disable so that I could have a chance to resto-chesto up to full but I get hit with a critical and it was all over from there.I sent in my original lead,Boldore,fired off a few rock blasts but got 2 hits both times and that allowed him to full restore.

I was so fucking pissed I soft reset my DS and deleted the save file after taking one last look at my team.I'm sorry bros,I never should have replaced Basculine.

I lost Aves to N in Chargestone Cave through switching in on Joltik, believing he'd go for Bug Bite since Versailles was still out. He instead went for Electroweb. I tried for an Actrobatics considering the sheer level disparity and I thought he outsped him, but I was fatally proven wrong. Then, in the Celestial Tower, I lost both Meow II and Bunker to an Ace Trainer's Stoutland, the latter from a crit Fire Fang that I didn't even know it had. Iron Barbs took it out...but it was mighty Pyrrhic even then.

And THEN, I lose Donald to another goddamn crit Secret Power just inches from being a Swanna.

I've evolved Flora and Aurum, and I finally have Serperior in a run...but hell if I know what I'm gonna do against Skyla. Wing it, I guess.

May take a break for now - have White up in the air as well.

My sacred gold run is going better than expected. I just had a close call on morty. His gengar hit way harder than I expected. He ended up killing my luxio with a shadow ball. I've lost my Psyduck to a random Magnitude 10 switch in.
This wanker Togepi is level 25 and has no damaging moves and I refuse to use Metronome. I have done everything I can to max out its Friendship.
If it weren't for the freeheals trainer at the end of this cave, I'd have said fuck it a long time ago.
