>>19286033I'd say so, yeah. I feel like people who enjoy G/S like to say that Kanto's postgame so that the games feel more impressive. Honestly, the only games that did postgame areas right were D/P/Pt (The top right part of the map) and B/W2 (Straiton Town and surrounding areas).
I'm not going to claim any game had the best postgame because honestly, GF can't do postgame right in my opinion. They handled it the best way in Platinum, where you had the new area with a bunch of new pokemon and explorable location. Again, this is just my opinion.
In other words, yes, Kanto is the end game of Gold/Silver. Considering you're still collecting badges, which is a huge part of the Pokemon plot, we'd be reaching the end. Now, the real debate is whether Red is postgame or the true final boss.
