If I wanted to have one fight after another, sure, Emerald's and Platinum's are tied. I'd even say Platinum's beats it. But I didn't always want to be fighting all the time.
I loved the idea of having choices and actually choosing the paths I took. The Pyramid and the Pike, in that sense, kept me playing Emerald for hundreds of hours. Only because of that do I love Emerald's way more. It gives more variety, at least to my preferences.
When Platinum's facilities with repeated battling over and over got me tired, what could I do next?
