Why not do something with types that actually need it?

The problem with Grass is most of their not-very-effective matchups are logical, or with types that shouldn't be nerfed.

Maybe but resisting Grass is one of the only things Bug has going for it

Resisting the element types is Dragon's gimmick. It wouldn't matter much anyway since most of them are half Flying.

Probably the best option but Flying in general has enough shit to deal with and it's not going to hurt a lot of the best Flying types like Smogonbird, Charizard and Skarmory, and it will screw a few like Gyarados that really don't deserve it.

It got better in Gen VI but it's still a weaker type, the last thing it needs is worse defensive ability.
