So how best to go about getting the maison doubles trophy? Should I treat it like VGC or just slap 4 OP mons together regardless of synergy?

I used Dark Void Smeargle and Kangaskhan and went undefeated.

Just prepare for Ghost and Steel types.

I used Mega Kangaskhan, Gengar, and Bisharp.

Though you could probably replace Bisharp with something better. I also used Protect on Kangaskhan to see wether or not the opposing Pokémon has a Fighting type move.

Treat it like VGC without team preview and no way to change your lead or team composition.

Goodstuffs like an DisQuake combo with Rotom/Zapdos/Thundurus/Eelektross and any Ground type should work, or two weather abusers together. Have something that can take care of the stuff your leads can't handle in the back.

Carry Taunt by all means. Some gimmick Maison sets are complete taunt bait, especially some legendaries.

I used my Gen 5 VGC team, but I also broke the 50 on a seperate run with just Scarf RotomW + Focus Sash Garchomp, spamming Disquake, with something like Mega Milf and Amoongus in the back. I only had to bring the two reserves out three or four times.
