Zoroark is a cool concept! I'm really not a fan of most anthropomorphic Pokemon in general, as I think most of them just look fucking ugly, IMO (Looking at you, Blaziken, Infernape, etc...) but I actually really like the "Boogeyman"-type appeal of Zoroak's design and lore, which are both pretty horrifying. The first time you meet Zoroark, it's in the form of some creepy woman in the woods who never talks, and whom you deliberately have to seek out. Furthermore, I didn't get the the vibe that this Pokemon had been introduced as draw to furries, although it clearly must be in some sense, because of how obscurely the Pokemon was implemented. GameFreak knew what they were doing when they saw how successful Gardevoir's design was in Japan, back in Gen 3, and chose to introduce Lucario in the following generation after as a Pokemon that anybody could get. On the other hand, most people missed Zoroark in Gen 5, and I think that added to his appeal. He seems more like a legendary/pseudo-legendary Pokemon than Lucario (who feels cheap by comparison,) and I think that also adds something. I am a little disappointed that he has been made so dime-a-dozen this gen, as a result of trying to "re-sell" the Pokemon, but it worked for me. Once I finally got my hands on a 4-IV JP Zorua, I've been breeding them ever since; I named my first 6-IV Zorua "Blackbeard," and I intend to name the first shiny "Calico Jack."
He's also interesting to use strategically although, as many people have already stated, very *difficult* because of Team Preview. Frankly, I have always hated Team Preview, thinking that it is just a shitty addition to the game in general, and I hope they remove it soon (even though they probably never well.) It would definitely add to Zoroark's viability, which is necessary, given his relatively poor typing.
