The priority isnt that big of a deal since Talonflame outspeeds 99% of everything anyway, and Flying is resisted by all electric and rock types, which make up the overwhelming majority of pokemon faster than Talonflame.
Plus the bird has zero attack and cant boost it if its using a Choice Band, so anything with bulk or a Flying resist shits all over it, and it cant even U-Turn out. TTar's Pursuit is guaranteed to fuck it sideways.
For added proof Gale Wings isnt that broken;
Staraptor with GW. Sounds broken as fuck, until you remember Staraptor's biggest benefits come from its abilities. While normal makes him neutral, not resist, Fighting, Intimidate allows for artificially increasing bulk or forcing a switch. Combined with U-Turn and 100 base speed makes him a monster, but the main set is reckless Brave Bird/double edge.
Staraptor outspeeds and KOs Wash Rotom - Talonflame is forced to U-turn or switch.
