Some anons from GBAtemp have been trying to get X to work on desmume
I've been tinkering with it, seems to run fine if it weren't for the 5-10 fps framerate

forgot to mention, most of the items don't fit with the descriptions, and some other swaps occur like pancham in the bottom screen, which is my second pokemon in my party

Real dev here doing this in my spare time. Managed to port the starting town (but with invisible NPCs and pretty shitty models. You can talk to the NPCs if you happen to bump into them)

So far it's the only map I could be assed to port since it is a pain, there's a lot more background stuff Iv'e been working on, but it's not very stable at the moment.
