>>19290465>Gen 3 the movie was
justified, it was a new Pokemon from a new gen, and that's commonplace now.
>Gen 4 It was the gen that it was released, so yeah, they pushed it - at this point in time, all we'd seen of it was from the movie, it hadn't been "pandered to". but it's okay in my book because some mons get more exposure than others. You might not agree, that's fine.
>Gen 5 had wild RioluStop the fucking presses, a Pokemon in a Pokemon game. What was your point here.
>Gen 6 They gave mega forms to all the Pokemon with a large fan base to get people on board with the idea at first. If the first megas were given to shitmons that nobody really uses to balance the meta, 5 year olds wouldn't buy the game in flocks because their Mewtwo, Lucario or Charizard can't go ultra-mega-saiyan. You only have to look at the reaction to the corocoro leaks regarding megas to see just how delicate a reveal it had to be. Seriously, if that had've gone wrong the game could have sold a whole lot worse.
Lastly, the anime doesn't count for shit and there's a myriad of merchandise for all Pokemon, just some more than others because of supply and demand.
