>>19295729My favourite Pokemon that came from Gen V would have to be Chandelure, Volcarona, Hydreigon, Haxorus, Excadrill, Galvantula, and there's probably some more to name but those are the ones that I can think of right away.
The NPCs were great. The Gym Leaders, if even in the briefest of ways, felt like actual characters since they also had other jobs aside from being Gym Leaders. The protagonists had some of the coolest designs, especially since they were designed to be older than previous protagonists. I know the Gen gets a lot of flak for being story and character based when it doesn't need to be, but fuck, they tried. And I think they did a pretty decent job. Also, best girl, pic related. Rosa and Hilda are pretty great too.
It's actually kind of challenging at times! Especially since they actually included such a challenge in terms of a difficulty mode in B2W2. I tried my first Nuzlocke on B2 Challenge Mode and got wrecked by Elesa. I even remember having slight difficulty back in the first game too. The level scaling isn't too bad either, at least I think so in terms of the first game. In the first game my Pokemon were never underleveled and matched the levels of anyone I faced at the time. I'm slightly underleveled in B2 but this is because of Challenge Mode.
So about that music... every track is absolutely amazing. Just gonna link a few.

Honestly, I love everything about Gen V. Everything about it just feels fresh and exciting. The music, the characters, the Pokemon selection... I will say it has its faults, not everyone will enjoy it, and that's cool. I think it gets a lot more hate than it deserves though, but I adored Gen V.
