>>19302422Smogonfags are all stuck-up about things sometimes. Rojo Lucha is more like loving the sport and honor and whatnot, without pride getting in the way.
It's more about lifestyles I suppose, anyways. Maybe each version could be filled with all sorts of morals for each one? Verda could have an underlying story and things here in there in the world that can teach people about happiness and optimism, and maybe they'd even reach enlightenment through the wisdom hidden in the game.
Lucha could be about going in and risking your life for the people around you and just dropping fear entirely for the world, and again this kind of thing can help with reaching enlightenment, too.
Imagine if a game had such a moral that'd cheer up the players lots? Without rubbing in their face, too.
Verde's would feel more beautiful and happy, letting you appreciate the little things around you and the peace, and Rojo could have more action-packed music to make you feel like you're on a very important journey.
I dunno, it's probably silly for Pokemon to take a direction that you'd mainly expect of some other game, but I think it'd be a neat thing for the games to do someday, kind of like how Black and White were ideals/technology/black and truth/nature/white, and how they still intertwined in a way despite being opposites.
Then again I feel that Rojo's settings are a little too close to something you'd expect in a part of Verde, and maybe it should be about giving it your all, the struggle of becoming better, and eventually becoming one of the best as opposed to Verde's carefree and happy thing. Verde could very well incorporate some of the fitting themes for Rojo if that were the case.
