What if you were a rival in a pokémon game?
Would you start with the "better" starter or choose a non-starter pokémon?
What would your team be? And your story? What will you do during the game events?
Bonus points for pic with your teams during each battle against the protagonist.
Since I'm pretty sure that some of you will post some cringe-worthy, 2edgy stories about themselves, let's begin "Autistic Rivals: The Thread"!

I would choose Eevee as my starter, my fully evolved team would be Umbreon, Noivern, Roserade, Gardevoir, Gourgeist, and Liepard. I would battle my rival more often than the one in game does. I would explore the evil teams hideouts for items and rare pokemon, but I wouldn't try to disband them unless it was vital.

I'd most likely go with a non-starter mon such as Scyther for my starter.
Since I'm tired of the friendly rivals (bar Barry, he's actually pretty competitive to a degree), I'd want to be a rival who is envious of how the protagonist was chosen to wield the dex and not me. Some shit like that. Just going around trying to put down the protagonist and the usual shit. I would collaborate briefly with the evil team near E4 time to try to defeat the protagonist, but I ultimately realize how much of a shit I'm being and decide to keep things cool.
Shit. This is sounding a bit like Silver.

Final team would be:

Personality wise? I'd be about as much of a rival as pic related - ie. better than you, and I know it. I'd proceed kick your ass at every turn, a little like how blue/green appears to get you at every turn. Difference is, my avatar would have fully EV trained pokes and a good AI, as well as having higher levels than the next gym leader. You'll have to win with skill, luck or some grinding. No cakewalks allowed.

I'd most likely be an acquaintance rival rather than a friend, choosing only to fight the protag in order to compare my strength/crush opposition to my strength.

About halfway through, I'd start working to help to protag defeat the enemy team but would never admit it was out of friendship or respect - only personal gain. There would be bare hints of sentiment.

I'd steamroll through the E4, and the protag would end up walking in on a battle between the champion and I - after losing to the champion, I would retreat and train in a cave or something (the champion is gonna have to be tough as fuck), perhaps to come back as g/s's red as a final boss.

Here's the kicker - The game autosaves at the first encounter. If the protag fails to beat me the first time after each encounter, he/she misses out on a potential victory message, and loses a huge portion of their money. Attempting to face me after a loss will result in a lower difficulty (but still hard by gym leader standards) battle, as I've already wrecked your ass - there's no need to use my full strength.

Final team: Primarily bulky/fast attackers. In other words attack stat is a priority, with defenses/speed.
