Alright, so I just battled in a free battle against a full shiny team. They used a speed boost sylveon against me. Is there an event sylveon with that, or was it flat-out hacking?

Hack protection only goes as far as trying to stop them from getting in, via the bank or from the GTS. Advanced hacking means CAN get things on, though it might be some sort of corruption glitch to get the wrong abilities onto mons. I know I've successfully cloned mons due to trading crashes. It wasn't intentional, I was evolving with frens

There is literally no way for this to happen,you can hack your Pokemon shiny and with ivs but it is impossible to give them illegal abilities.

For hell you can change its base stats, max out EV in every stats or even giving him 99 PP.

You're retarded. There is no real hacking potential on the 3DS thus far. Maybe soon, but not yet.

Even if it were possible, Nintendo's hack checker is more than adequate to account for illegal Abilities. Hell, it doesn't let unreleased Hidden Abilities through, so there's no way at all that its letting through a Speed Boost Sylveon. And the hack check runs every time you try to use Battle Spot, so even if he injected it straight into the game somehow it wouldn't work.

Upload the Battle Video OP. He probably used Skill Swap or something and you just missed it.
