ITT: Pokemon that should have an evolution but dont

Let start with Jynx.

Her partners Magmar and Electabuzz got Evolutions in generation 4 but she was forgotten.

Imagine a stronger Jynx with Ice Absorb or something? That would have been awesome.

She was the Ice in Fire/Electric/Ice combination.

She also had a pre-evolution in the same game as them. And they share the same block in the pokedex.

Sadly, that seems to be the case. Is sad because Jynx has unique type and it would have been cool for it to evolve into a stronger pokemon.

In Gen I the link with Mime was a bit stronger, in that they were psychic types you get from a trade with the same stat total.

That's not actually true. Jynx is based on Ganguro, a Japanese subculture that involves getting hella tan, dying your hair/wearing gaudy wigs, and wearing elaborate makeup and clothing.

Sadly, it does bear a STRIKING resemblance to a racist caricature of a black woman, so yeah, they'll probably never acknowledge her again, just to be safe.

It also started near where the Game Freak offices are, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe some guy just made a Pokemon based off something he saw on the railway that morning.
Or they could've made Jynx late into development.
Or it is possible they are a bunch of racists because, like you said, Japan.

The only thing that always confused me about all these claims is the fact that it's Ice/Psychic, which really doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with Ganguro or Blackface or anything, nor does it have anything in its Pokedex entry that would suggest influences from these things.

Those three, aside from Hitmonchan (for obvious reasons) were the only ones to learn respective elemental punches in Gen I. They were given baby forms at the same time. They were pretty much started as a elemental trio back in Gen I and II but then it just died off when the other two got evos the got stuck in the dark. Sad thing is, with megas now, there will never be cross gen evos.

I don't think so. They were originally planned as a trio (see: exclusive users of elemental punches in Gen 1, babies introduced in Gen 2 together, keeping in mind Smoochum was designed way before Carole Boston Weatherfuck launched the shit show) but they kinda abandoned Jynx as part of the trio after all the controversy happened.
