Hatch as I go. After two of the five hatch I release them and get more from the Daycare man. That way I'm cycling them out faster.

I made a pact with the game gods to find a shiny Eevee for my sister, and spent 3 days and nights searching a Normal safari for the elusive silver Eevee, I performed bloodletting and sacrificed my dog to Shrek (joke, but she did get put down sadly).
I decided to give up and search another safari for female Pokémon to breed.After a while I wanted a female Eevee, and found pic related. It's the second shiny Eevee I've found, the first on Route 10 a few months ago, and now it's my sister's soon to be Espeon.

Hows the hunting?

Decent week for me, caught my first Platinum shiny, distortion world giratina!
In fairness shiny giratina is easily available from the old distribution, same as palkia and dialga, but after the recent movie marathon I felt like hunting the big ghostly bastard.
Took about 1100 SRs roughly. Didn't count exactly.

Going to try for all the Platinum distribution legendaries.
Now working on Shaymin, then going for Darkrai and Arceus,

Good news /shw/ I've wanted a shiny Clawitzer for testing out competetively, I bred perfect parents, then swapped one of the parents for a Ditto, 50 eggs later and BAM! Shiny Clauncher.

In case you don't remember I was also that guy who went over 1800 eggs for a shiny zubat about two weeks ago. It had Inner Focus instead of infiltrator but I decided to live with it as I didn't have the patience to continue.

...Until now...

I decided to go once again for an infiltrator Zubat and once I had everything set up, I started hatching and 4 eggs later...

Shiny Zubat.

"Holy Shit! This was the fastest hunt ever, and it's stats are perfect! I just hope that-"

I'm about 200 eggs in for Infiltrator Zubat. Once I get one I'll hold a giveaway for my Inner Focus Zubat and Crobat.

Well, think I'll still go for it anyway, I back up all my saves so even if I transfer the legendaries up I have them on the original game too, time spent working in IT has made me wary of backing most things up.

I've been decently lucky this week.

While ev training hordes in the swamp, I found a shiny bellsprout.
Naughty nature, above average iv's, a perfect 31 in speed, and it has chlorophyll.
I was so happy, and then about 7 hordes later...ANOTHER shiny bellsprout.
Which ALSO had a perfect 31 in speed.
What are the fucking odds of 2 shiny bellsprouts within 7 hordes each with 31 speed iv.

Via trades I picked up a shiny emboar, pikachu and zangoose.

But the big prize of the week was a trade for a shiny penta perfect throh that I picked up last night.
I named it Chunk.

So in short:

I'll start hunting treeckos as soon as I finish getting some egg moves.

Got 2 shiny totodiles during the week (around 300-400 eggs), a penta with 16 Attack and another penta this time with 22 Sp.Def. I'm still wondering if I'll keep hunting for a pentaperfect later. It's probably not worth the trouble.

What's /vp/'s preferred way of breeding? Like, what's an efficient way of getting, hatching and boxing hatched mons? I have a Volcarona with Flame Body in my party then I get five eggs and hatch them, then I put the first five in the first column of a box, then fill two boxes of mons until they're full. Then I add 60 to my count on my trainer card, release, and repeat.

Since I've never tried sceptiles before, I don't know which egg moves would be good. I thought about getting leaf storm but since it learns it as it levels up, I believe it's be better to use that egg move slot for something else. Should I change something here before attempting a shiny?

Hi /shw/, I've had a pretty lucky week so far after hatching my absol last weekend.
Found this shiny seviper in a horde while EV training. Not the greatest IVs, but her nature isn't bad and I've grown pretty attached.
(Excuse the shit moveset, I'm using her to horde train/hunt)

Found this shiny skorupi yesterday after about 60 horde encounters. Modest with 31 in special attack and 0 in speed. Kek.
I'm taking a long bus ride today so I might keep hunting hordes just for fun.

I decided I wanted to MM a shiny Gallade so I went to FS to catch a Kirlia in a Premier Ball to pass down. Enter FS and first encounter is shiny Kirlia. It breaks out of Ball and uses Teleport on the first turn, and yeah... But I can't believe I got this mother fucker after only 4 eggs, it's mother only had 2 perfect IV's and yet against all odds it came out with 5.

I was looking for breeding fodder and BAM, shiny male Kirlia. It teleported before I could catch it and after that I started MM for a shiny Ralts.

Ironically enough I went back to that same FS the other day and would you believe it, another shiny male Kirlia popped up. Caught that one before it escaped so I felt pretty vindicated.

I also feel like we've told these stories before. Were you in that shiny stories thread the other day?

Congrats! It depends on the nature honestly, and how you plan on using it. If it has its Hidden Ability, Espeon is almost certainly the best one, but not everybody likes Espeon's Shiny.

Glaceon isn't very useful competitively, but I think its Shiny, despite subtle, is the prettiest Eeveelution Shiny.

You're pretty much good to go with whatever Eeveelution you want then.

Competitively, Espeon is almost certainly the best option, with Sylveon and Jolteon being runner ups, but like I said, you could evolve it into whatever you want with that Nuetral nature.

I've got about 3 boxes of shinies I think
About 8 are ones I transfered from old gens.
Another 18 are mine via my current game. Minus 3 that I've traded to my brother (because I took 3 of his shinies from past gens)
Rest are trades.
Plus a box of things I don't really want because I can't nickname, I might do a giveaway someday

Resetting only works for the egg that's already been generated. I tried if the time machine method worked for simultaneous eggs but it only counts for the one that's currently generated before the daycare man gives it to you.
