>>19350384I did have fun! In fact, I had immense fun. Was the second VGC tournament I'd been to, but I got to play a variety of players (running from Baz Anderson who destroyed me R1 to a guy in an elaborate Floatzel costume of fine workmanship).
In the end I found myself playing on Table 8 and having the time of my life with some really intense competition from international players taking place on the table to my right. The guy I was playing in that round was certainly better than me but had a really unfortunate timeout leading to him having a bad T1; in the end I won that one and would almost certainly have been out of my depth in the next game.
Then I had to fucking leave, ending my great experience abruptly and ruining my resistance scores, thus having negative consequences for the four people I beat on the way (at least one of whom really didn't deserve the loss). Because the organisers were incompetent.
I had great fun, and that's why I'm furious.
