Hey, magnagate mode was fun. It provided a good way to just pick up the game and play without going through picking out a job, making preparations, and all the other stuff.

Major turnoff:
1) You can't skip chat or load all chat at once by hitting any sort of button
2) Pokemon with form changes must pick their form before going into dungeons... Aka meloetta can't form change by using relic song.... you instead decide between her forms when you enter the dungeon.
3) basic attacks suck like no tomorrow. They dont even do half the damage that tackle does lol.
4) lots of useless animations. IE calling gurdurr each and every time you want to just check on the status of your house. Maybe you want to upgrade it... but maybe you just wanna check your progress towards all of the materials.... nope gotta call gurdurr's ass over.

Hasn't that always how they've been? I've replayed both Rescue Team and Explorers after Gates and that's how I remember it.

Honestly, if they at least had the option to play as any gen starter pokemon i woulde been able to say it was a decent game. Was incredibly heartbroken by it and could only get halfway through before i started another file on skys
