I've beaten the maison on three different modes. And the difficulty in the maison isn't even real difficulty. It's just RNG bullshit that would be highly improbable under normal circumstances

I like the models, I wish the battles were more like Colo/XD scalewise, but still better than sprites. (I still loved the sprites).

I liked Lysandre. I liked the Elite 4, they seemed more eccentric this gen.

I liked the new Pokemon, some really awesome additions.

I liked the rival being motivated to beat you. I felt bad crushing their dreams every time.

I liked the Furfrou styles, I hope more Pokemon are introduced with similar mechanics.

I liked the roller blades.

I like the games' ideas but it feels like a lot of them are half-cooked, ESPECIALLY the story. It felt like they had this grand story about two different time periods but we only see one little slice of it. We don't learn very much about AJ, Lysandre, etc. This was the biggest disappointment in the game for me.

Lack of post game was annoying too. I know people say muh Maison and that's fine and all, but I don't get how anybody can think it compares to PWC or Battle Frontier. On the adventure side of things, the Looker quest was great, although I'm one of those people who didn't mind the Legendary bloat some past gens if it allowed for some post game exploration.

Sky battles are dumb as shit. I was excited as first because I thought they'd be a different take, like you would have to consider an additional altitude stat or something, but they were just normal battles except with a restricted Pokemon list.

The main game was pretty much the same as any other, although personally I found Kalos as a region was boring. I think the best region to explore is Sinnoh myself.

7/10 game for me.

My biggest complaint was Lysandre and Team Flare.

First of all, Lysandre was built up to be this big twist that he was a villain, when you can tell just by looking at the fucking guy that he's the main antagonist. Not to mention that they practically scream it at you whenever he opens his mouth or whenever he's even on the screen.

His plan seemed ridiculous, the mechanical arms out of nowhere was hilariously stupid, and he was basically a worse version of Cyrus in every regard.

As for the rest of Team Flare, you encounter them late into the game for Pokemon, and they aren't even doing anything substantial, its very apparent they have no fucking idea what Lysandre is up to (and thats not a good thing, they seem more of annoyances than "evil villains" most of the time because of this), and their designs are horrible. Also their dialogue is just fucking awful, but that can be said for most of XY.

And there's the admins/scientists whatever. There's way too many of them, and I couldn't tell you one fucking thing about any of them. They're ridiculously underused and undercharacterized. Except for Xerosic, a great idea for a character, who has one scene before the postgame.

The AZ stuff was alright, but I would have liked to delve into his character and learn a little more about his time as king, but I guess I can't really complain too much about that.

And finally, the box legends. They're just kind of there. No real reason that they're there, other than to fit them into the story. I thought for once gamefreak would finally leave from the "Evil Team is trying to get the legendary on the cover!!!!" thing they've been on for the past 10 years, but instead they just fucking threw it in there SPECIFICALLY to stay on that stupid trend.

The main story of the game deserved a 2/10 at best, it was just fucking horrible overall. AZ and Xerosic were the only bright spots, and they were both underused.

Its easier to vent your complaints online than it is to talk about what you liked.

Amie was cool, I liked Fairies, I liked a lot of the new designs, and it was nice to see gamefreak try to simplify the EVs/Breeding. Also wondertrade was a cool concept, but its become GTS 2.0

uhm,i think they really wasted Megas, most of them was just pure pondering on pokes that didn't need one but since they are so popular they got one. and others less popular like mega-kanga became super broken

It's ok though, i still really like the fact that Pokemon like Mawile,Houndoom,Ampharos,Absol etc. got a buff

I like the Fairy type. Apparently some fucks on here don't appreciate it so much, but I do. If it had been in the game since gen I, nobody would question how well it fits into the lineup.

I also like Klefki. Not the way it plays - just its design.

I've always liked Normal-types, and I'm glad to see the type used in dual-types recently. Except for Diggersby, which can go fuck itself.

Why are you calling this a general? It's not a general, it's just a thread. A general is a series of threads about the same thing.

Anyway, the game was okay, but like it has been mentioned time and time again, the story was too easy. Plus, it felt so stale. Lysandre was a shitty villain, and there were too many rivals, most of which felt extremely useless the entire time.

The elite four was pretty great though. Not really difficult, but I liked the themed rooms and aesthetics.

It took me a solid 50 hours to get through the storyline doing tons of sidestuff along the way. Supertraining/amie, etc.

Looker quest was great. I wished it would never end.

But the worst thing this sum bitch does is pick fights and then make the player do battle. That's some annoying little brother tier bullshit there.

Still playing X now, but... I actually really like these games.

Good region, good starters, decent enough villains. Fixed the problem with Unova (not enough previous generations' Pokemon, too much goddamn Sturdy). Region feels huge. Models for people and Pokemon are great. You can customize your character, you have an entourage.

Complaints are minimal. Not a trainer animation for everybody (some just give us a picture), Pokemon still don't fully connect (probably just a nitpick), tech might be too advanced (might also be nitpicking, this is a series where you can convert animals into data). Male customization feels painfully limited compared to female customization. Not enough 3D locations.

But yeah. Enjoying it. Never used EXP Share enough to find a complaint there.
