Seriously, I've only ever seen the first volume of Pokemon Manga at a local used book store. If Nintendo had pushed the manga into book and comic shops, maybe it would be here.

Because the manga is a terrible source of shit to read. The authors said it's the closest interpretation of the franchise they wanted to make, which is kind of laughable since this would kind of screw the pooch on being for children. It also would make a fairly awkward game, and many of the scenes wouldn't translate well into the games themselves except for maybe X/Y, which is already asking a bit too much of GameFreak themselves. Do you get it? The manga is shit because they think it's the pinnacle of their writing abilities. It isn't. At least the anime doesn't even bother to take itself seriously. It's just garbage.

I read up until partway through the Gold and Silver arc until the scanlator I was using turned into a massive faggot and dumped it to work on his own terrible "manga". I sorta lost interest at that point, anyway.

I read some summaries and stuff online and it seems like a clusterfuck to me.

I just grabbed the last volume of the english-localized Ruby/Sapphire arc last week, and in the back it says that FRLG is coming next.

They did pretty good with the RS translation, too. Kept the deaths, though they changed the iconic "I like ya" to "I have a crush on ya." I know that's not bad or anything, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
