>>19376321This, I'd eat small game, which I would probably take with some kind of .22 caliber rifle.
I was gonna say a .22WMR lever-action rifle, but I couldn't find one that didn't have one of those dumb detachable plastic tubes you load from the front, so I think an MR-5.7 would be a better option for me.
Sure, 5.7x28mm is more expensive, harder to find, and just barely more powerful than a .22WMR, but it being centerfire, rimless, and usually jacketed, it would have reliable feeding from box magazines, and it would be just excellent for my purposes (I think the 5.7 would make much more sense as a varmint round than as a defense/offense round, IMHO, if it wasn't so needlessly expensive).
Stuff like Spearow, Pidgey, and the odd Doduo. Wingull are plentiful, and literally nobody would give a shit if I would poach some of those. Ducklett seems like it could be tasty. Starly and Taillow would be viable as well. Wouldn't want to eat Pidoves though, they probably carry lots of pests and disease.
It would pack a little bit of a punch too, so I could defend myself against vagrants and thugs who could possibly be looking to take my pokémon (not that they couldn't violate the shit out of anyone trying to take them, my Misdreavus just became lvl. 100).
I suppose I could also catch the odd fish with a Super-Rod, but the question comes to what kind of fish? You can't really eat a Magikarp, it's mainly just shell and bone, and while you could probably eat a Goldeen, I imagine it being a lot like goldfish in texture, which would probably not be very pleasant or tasty.
Besides, Seaking I think can learn poison attacks, so what does that suggest about Goldeen? Don't wanna eat something that I could potentially poison by not preparing correctly, no thank you.
Feebass seems like a plausible choice here, but they're rare, so it would make more sense for me to capture it if I ever came across it.
Remoraid and Octillery seems like safe bets.
