to be honest, a slowbro
magic guard is what makes reuniclus good. if you really want a regenerator set you can go with either an offensive set with assault vest (psyshock, shadow ball, filler filler), or you can give it support moves like toxic, twave or whatever. Slowbro does both better

Quick question about EV training with hordes. Essentially I can just send out the Pokemon I want to sweep with and keep the Pokemon I want to EV train in my party without it battling right? So that also means I should be able to EV train more than one Pokemon, right?

whats the best aerodactyl for doubles? I want a Rock Slide + choice band combo but do i go jolly for the speed or adamant for the extra power? Mega Gyarados is at +1 infront of you in OU. You assume it has Waterfall, Earthquake, and Ice Fang. You cannot stay in and attack it (the field matchup is shit and why it got to +1 in the first place), but you can switch to any Pokemon in the game with any moves, as in you just so happened to bring the perfect answer. It has to be able to deal with being attacked (remember Mold Breaker) on the switch AND answering it if its +2 incase it boosted on the switch instead. What Pokemon do you switch to and why?

Skarmory can easily take +1 Waterfall on the switch and whirlwind it out. It can also easily take a +2 Waterfall before whirlwinding it out too. However if rocks are on my side, the situation will be more riskier if the gyarados attacks on my switch.

If the Gyarados player says fuck it and dragon dances turn 1 as you get rocks / chip it / scout it etc, but your lead isn't something that can kill it (especially due to the eventual fighting -> dark shift coinflips), what do you then do? Theres no way something that simple should be an auto lose situation, which is what I was picking your brains for.

Mega Abomasnow actually sounds like kind of a fun option. I was personally thinking Ferrothorn, as the traditional 252/48/x Relaxed spread can take two Earthquakes at +1 with Leftovers even if rocks are somehow already up. It can then Thunder Wave to cripple it for the rest of the game, it or if by some chance it had Substitute over Ice Fang, you can still break it with Power Whip and not lose out. Using things neutral to Waterfall is also a bit risky because the 20% flinch chance is definitely real and can cause your "counter" to get beat by luck.

When I ran Gourgeist XL in OU I used to switch him in when Gyra came out. He would usually Dance on the turn I switched to Gourg. Then you can burn it, seed it, Seed Bomb it. Ice Fang does pitiful damage even SE and after it's burned it's just a matter of getting it seeded then going for a Seed Bomb. Gourgeist XL has a lot of niches in OU, specifically against Rotom-W, M-Gyarados, and M-Mawile.

I sometimes enjoy just opening with thundurus T, and it takes absurd happenstance for Thundy-T to not kill mega-gyarados.

Hey y'all. Let's say your team is slightly weak to Bisharp but you have a few counter-measures in place (an Azumarill with specific EVs to withstand a Knock Off and Iron Head from Adamant LO Bisharp, flinch chance notwithstanding, and a lure Latios with HP fighting). However you're just not comfortable enough against one of the biggest offensive threats in OU right now. Has anyone had any success with a Focus Sash Deo-S as a last ditch countermeasure for a rampaging Bisharp. It has Superpower so it's a OHKO so long as I can survive that Sucker Punch with 1 HP.

Need a viable Scizor build for a mono-steel team. He will not be able to use a MegaStone, would like to have a bit more SP.D if possible because most of my team is defensive, and may or may not be able to use Life Orb (Might put on another that needs the damage boost, but if you can give me a build where it's a strong suggestion for it, I'll likely do it.) I've never used Scizor before, but I need a strong attacker, a neutral against EQ (which my team is a bit lacking), and doesn't need to focus heavy on speed since I have a TR Bronzong for slower-power partners.

I don't have anything of pokemon value for your help, but I can give you a piece of wisdom, if that helps:

When buying something, never buy the most expensive or cheapest of said item. Cheapest is likely a POS the store is contracted to sell, and most expensive is usually just a good sales pitch for something that's as good as the mid-level price item.

There's no need unless it's a mixed mon. You're just wasting your time.
5 IV can be beneficial too. If your mon doesn't need attack, then an attack IV of 0 is preferable because foul play exists.

Something to take Fighting types on is pretty much required, even thoguh defensive duck can take a CC to the face, but you want to stay healthy. Also something to switch into obvious Knock offs and Tricks, Heal bell is nice because Toxic makes P2 a lot less useful because it can't outlast things anymore and even Burn is kinda nasty, you get worn down fast with no lefties. It's a way to stop Nidoking in its tracks which is pretty hard to do in UU, as well as Chandelure as long as it's not Flame body or Tricking you (although Snorlax gives it competition in that regard) and every attacker that can't set up on you really.

Deoxys is a suicide lead, not a wall. You want something like stealth rock, spikes and taunt, and then either thunder wave or magic coat. Max speed and HP EVs, timid nature, and either red card or mental herb. The set revolves around reliably setting up as many hazards as possible without getting yourself shit on by setup.

Pretty much every OU wallbreaker has no trouble taking deoxys down, especially with everything running knock off, and with toxic as it's only vaguely offensive move it will give even more free switch-ins than chansy. It walls hardly anything useful and saps momentum every time it tries.

I haven't run HP ice on lando, but it doesn't seem like it gives much useful coverage. 2x effective damage only brings it up to 10 bp more than sheer force boosted 90 bp off STAB moves anyway, so it's only the 4x effective hits you would be going for, which is garchomp, other landos, dragonite, gliscor, and I'm not even sure what else.

Venusaur - looks good. EQ is nice for Heatran.
Charizard - looks good. Again, could potentially have EQ to KO heatran. Focus Blast can miss and some Heatran are AV or just max hp/spdef.
Dragonite - Fire Punch/EQ/Superpower are all better options over Aqua Tail (which can miss and does less in sun).
Gengar - Not sure how I feel about AV, especially with no spdef or hp investment and it's frail as fuck. If you want to live stuff just run Focus Sash.

Personally when I did TR for VGC, decided not to try and go full trick room, which gives you options to beat both trick room and non trick room teams since you can fuck with both with the right balance.

This is the team I used, and it took a lot of cues from the early Rizzo win, while I used a couple of my own twists (like Hammer Arm kanga, she's a beast)

Your team doesn't have to be dedicated to trick room. A single trick room setter lets you fuck with opposing teams without having to commit to the strategy.

Basically this team is carrying:
-Double Dragon
-Double Intimidate
-TR combos
-Double Fake Out

Also, even if reuniclus is slow, it still tanks hard and can draw attention to itself easily/have attention drawn away from it, letting it get in kills others wouldn't suspect.

I'm always had an irrational hatred of rest, unless it has hydration and rain dance too.

Well, looking at speed tiers either I do 168 and outspeed Neutral base 100s, Excadrill and the appliance Rotoms or I bump that up to 200 and can take on Lando Therian / mega garchomp and a few other things.

Just came across a really interesting albeit gimmicky 3v3 strat used by some 1800's dude. It was basically a Cheshire Cat and defensive Politoed core both spamming Perish Song and Subtect along with respective STABs, and SS Kingdra to clean up the mess. Pretty sure it was HPump/Ice Beam/Meteor/HP something.

IMO, you should make your Sableye physically defensive and swap Confuse Ray for Knock Off
Alternatively use Skarmory over it to provide a phaser and and Ground immunity, Landorus looks like it can completely destroy your team.

ToTT: Yeah, currently at 2122 COIL. Planning to finish on sunday. It's pretty fun. Common teams seem to be that webs Shuckle + mamo team, Gothitelle stall, and the usual deosharp and "slap six high rated threats together" teams are strong, as well as the so irrelevant full BP team.

i know it's b8, but here is a little statement on why gsc is a cool metagame: gsc ou is a meta where you actually need to think a bit to get a kill and to ultimately win. You don't just stack hazards and click buttons like in newer gens. "but hurr durr it's only stall" - no it's not, that is the most retarded argument ever only made by people who have little to no experience in the meta. It is always hilarious how new players just use a stall team with no way to break something and just quit after doing basically nothing for hundred turns. Offense in gsc is possible, it might be harder to play but it is ultimately just better than fullstall. If you read some of the spl logs you will see that there were like only 2 realy stallish teams. Snorlax might be broken yea, but there is a saying that it allows offense, and yea, it actually does - snorlax has a way to break many teams and is the major source of offense on many teams. you can play rby ou and wank off to tauros, play gsc and wank to snorlax, play adv and wank to ttar, play dpp and wank to heatran, play bw and wank to weathers, or play xy and wank to aegislash, i don't see the problem with that.

aerilate cb archeops and aerilate cb pinsir. probably the best shit atm because i have only seen one person who actually runs a bulky electric type, everyone else just gets shat on.
Other cool things i run: mold breaker (seriously run this, it shits on so many trends like flash fire scizor or magic bouncers), analytic regirock and regice with band and sepcs respectively, hits like trucks, defiant bulky attacker - wrecks, no guard. also run mental herb, probably even better than brightpowder.

First of all it's entrainment, not entertainment. Second, it is really really gimmicky. To the point of being kinda terrible in most cases.

Anyway since you love gimmicks.

Entrainment Pyroar (moxie) onto a garchomp that then kills it, and hopefully an enemy, racking up serious boosts.

Entrainment octillery could give something moody that has no right to be abusing that broke ass ability.

hawlucha can also give unburden, the possibilities there are obvious.

Chimecho can dole out the ground immunities, that's if you want to burden yourself with chimecho that is.
