I've been noticing people more and more are looking to get female pokemon with the Johto apricorn balls, so it makes me curious as to why.

Do the johto pokeballs make a special animation when the pokemon enters the field or is the demand just so the ball matches what the pokemon looks like? I know back in black and white the Johto ball animations just turned into regular ball animations but I'm curious if they brought special animations back to the pokemon that use those pokeballs.
