>>19389785Not the guy you're quoting, but in my opinion, BW were the best games since R/S/E, and BW2 were pretty good refinements (although not really improvements).
I disagree with the difficulty complaints. I would have liked an option to choose between the EXP.Broken and a holdable EXP.Share, but I was the one who decided to use the EXP.share and use one team from the very early parts of the game. It was ENTIRELY my fault I was overlevelled. Super Training is a wonderful addition, in that I've probably enjoyed it more than playing the whole Team Flare segment, and I also only used it heavily on my second team.
Problems I have with Gen VI: A lack of legendaries. No offence, but the Legendary Birds have always been underwhelming, with shitty type combinations and fairly awful movesets by legendary standards. Mewtwo is nice to see again. I quite like both Yveltal and Xerneas, but something about Zygarde irks me, even though I like his moveset. I guess his design is just sort of disappointingly weird. I guess, in a way, the Mega Evolutions make up for that due to their insane stat boosts, but using them feels a lot like cheating (although I still rock Mega Charizard X for that type change), and when I win battles online with them, I just feel dirty.
Another problem: As
>>19389414 said, the bosses were subpar. I beat the Elite Four and Champion with just level 60 Sneasel and Mewtwo, because for some reason the E4 and Gym Leaders all have crappy/generic pokemon in their teams, or even as their mains. When I played R/S/E before I had full access to the internet and couldn't see the full pokedex, I remember being amazed by most of the leads and determined to acquire them; D/P/Pt and B/W often made me realize how awesome pokemon I'd disregarded as crap were.
XY made me wat and then wipe them out in a single move.
