These are the two things that will happen if you unban genesect:
-HO teams will switch from Deo-D to Deo-S with Fire Punch, and will use stuff like Scarfed Greninja with HP Fire
-Rain HO will become more common because Kingdra and Kabutops do not give the slightest shit about Genesect, so if you're depending on Genesect to prevent getting swept by everything then prepare to get assblasted by them (T-Tar+Exca, too)
You guys are seriously misunderstanding why it was good. "It checks everything" it great and all but we have a few others things that can do that, like Mega Manectric, some scarfers like Terrakion, etc. The thing about "checking everything" is that, while that's great and everything, Genesect can barely switch in to any attacks. It can take two weak neutral hits at best, so if you want to check something you need to sacrifice something to get it in or predict a double switch. It did not have a "chilling effect on HO" because, to them, it was really just another fast attacker, and they had more than a few ways around it.
And of course, there are things that Genesect flat out can't check, like X-zard, boosted/strong priority users, Swift Swimmers, faster scarfers in a strong neutral/fire move, etc. Unbanning Genesect will change how mindless HO functions, but it's not going to magically get rid of it and usher in an era of a perfectly balanced meta.
>>19392668>Thundurus is healthy for the metagame (BAAAHAHAHAHAH THAT'S SO VR)If you think Genesect is healthy because it checked everything, then Thundurus is healthy too you stupid shit. Priority Thunder Wave stops pretty much every set-up sweeper cold.
>unironically say that Deoxys and HO were nerfedThey were. Deo-D is still broken but it's not quite as good as it was last gen. And all posts like that were way back in March; VR is pretty much dead now.
