My only problem with lucario ever was mispredicting if it was gonna be physical or special lucario, so I'd send in a special wall when it close combatted me in the face.

That was one of the problems with M-Lucario: if you can't guess which set it's running and don't have the right Pokémon to deal with each of them then it's going to devastate your team. That's why it was banned; it turns the whole game into trying to guess which Lucario set your opponent's running.

Except, you know, a lot worse, because it has 145/140 offenses, Steel typing, 112 base speed, three forms of 80BP priority, a double resistance to SR, ways to boost both of its offenses and its Speed, and several coverage options for both Attack and Special Attack.

The other side of being a counter is being able to switch in and force the other pokemon out a large majority if the time, which is never mentioned in the video. Yes, Mienshao can come in after Kangaskhan kills something, but that fucker will die or take massive damage if it switches in directly. If the latter happens, it will be swiftly killed with a sucker punch, and many physically defensive pokemon don't mind walling for the former option.

Literally the only battles I ever enjoyed were either Showdown or 6v6 wi-fi with good players. I don't care much if I lose -there's plenty of matches I enjoyed despite losing. Battlespot though.. He was talking about sending in a defensive ghost pokemon in to deal with Lucario because if it's physical you can burn it and if it's special you have the bulk to deal with it and the only special move the special builds can hit a ghost with is flash cannon.
