Despite the 4x weakness to fighting, it seems suitable since Poochy's just a generic baby hyena and Mighty's Pokedex entry seems to imply more normal/less "evil" behavior than other dark types. Also because they're early Route only in RS / every single Route crap in Emerald so an added normal type might work in a gameplay sense.
No appearance change other than lighter coloring or possibly white sclera.

Take away Altaria's Dragon typing, make it a pure flying type.

Loses the ghost resistance its previous evolution had, gains weakness to thunderbolt, retains a less awful weakness to ice, and dragon hits neutral damage.

Pro: At least it won't confuse me anymore.

Make Mothim Bug/Ice, give it a more white coloring and maybe a snowflake pattern on its wings. Since the Wormadam seem stationary and are female only, the Mothim would need to fly from place to place to reproduce, and gather food for the females.

And it differentiates it from all the other shitty bug/flying types.

Gothitelle being Psychic/Dark is the one typing change I desperately want.

They already learn Dark type moves, a good variety in fact. I know some other Psychics do, but it's interesting how Gothita just starts off with some dark moves, like Flatter and Embargo. It'd gain huge weaknesses to Bug types, but hold their own better against Dark types now. It'd also help make them more unique compared to Gardevoir, which overshadows them in every single way (sadly) The only real issues I see from a design standpoint is that Dark seems to mostly be about trickery and deception, generally evil things, while Gothitelle is associated with the stars and astrology. I suppose I could try and use Gothorita's dex entry about it manipulating sleeping children, but that's still rather weak. I guess not every Dark type needs to be pure evil?

In regards to Gen V's other Psychics, I think that making Reuniculus Psychic/Fighting would be interesting, since it would strengthen it being Gothitelle's White counterpart while also making it more unique. Psychic/Fairy Musharna, as well? Not sure if that really works, though. And Beheeyem could really use a Steel type Mega, or just an evolution in general. Steel because UFO + Beheeyem already seems pretty robotic.

As it stands all of Gen V's Psychics don't have any secondary typings, which puts them at a huge disadvantage nowadays.

As for the topic I think Sunflora should have been Grass/Fire. Would make for a unique typing at least. Also Flygon should have changed its type to Bug/Dragon once it evolved. Would have lost the 4x weakness to Ice.

This one is hard because if you take away it's rock type, it looses it's STAB headsmash wich is one of it's best offensive move and It would also criple the utility of rockhead but on the other hand, It benefits on the defensive side by gaining two more resistances and loosing it's two 4X weaknesses.

If you remove it's steel type, it gains more weaknesses even if it looses it's two 4X ones but it keeps it's ability to do massive damage with STAB headsmash and still has it's 180 defense to backup for it's additional weaknesses.

Personally, I would go with the steel one because it complements it's already massive defense and It would give it's two other abilities much more use (Sturdy for special oponents and heavymetal to boost STAB heavyslam).

I realize I'm kinda breaking the rules of your game a bit, but flying is never a solo type (except arceus and tonadus, who don't count).

Fearow's crest and feather tips become yellow, and its primarily brown body becomes gray. Its features lose some curves and become slightly more jagged.

Naturally it would get access to Wild Charge and Spark, and any future non-volt-tackle physical electric moves that don't require either arms or teeth.

so its movepool will still be lacking, unfortunately.
