Everyone is making a big deal out of it because it's been taken out of context. Serebii shouldn't have even mentioned it because people are taking it the wrong way. They trade mark games all the time in case they decide to use them in the future. Doesn't mean they will. They did it with Water Blue, Grey, and some others which I don't know the names.

All this means is if we do get an Emerald remake, it will certainly be named Delta Emerald. Don't get me wrong, Emerald was my favorite Pokemon game, but people are making a deal out of nothing.

I still don't understand why Nintendo doesn't just remake the nearly always superior third versions. I'm pretty sure there's no one who's going to buy OR or AS who wouldn't buy Delta Emerald. And the people who buy both versions could buy two copies of DE.

It was easy to do with the first two sets of remakes. Yellow and Crystal had barely any difference than their respective generations paired games. Emerald and up is where it gets difficult. Whether or not they try to incorporate the Rayquaza story in some way in OR/AS, or we we get a remake, we can't tell yet. Hopefully they just don't ignore Emerald's significance though.

But Emerald isn't really comparable to previous third versions. There are a good number of significant differences between RS and E. Emerald has both teams acting as villains instead of one. The ending to the story is completely different, with both legendaries battling, requiring Rayquaza's intervention. Unless they're planning on making AS and OR literally the same exact game, there's no way they can be straight up Emerald remakes. Which makes me sad, because Emerald is the much better game.

Yeah. Magma's HQ beneath Mt. Chimney made a hell of a lot more sense thematically.

I'm worried that the remakes are going to be TOO faithful to the source material and not make any beneficial changes. Even if ORAS can't have Emerald's story, I hope at least some elements carry over.
