Pokemon like Delphox and Meganium are almost always drawn as female, for instance, despite the 7:1 male to female ratio, and it's nigh impossible to find things like... say, male Aromatisse. Conversely, it's also really hard to find things like female Timburr (the one I'm posting is the only one I've seen of the entire line) or Hariyama or something like that, despite them being totally possible.
This is actually where Tumblr is really useful, there tends to be more variety in design there. Places like Pixiv just tend to have Skinny White Girl #3457 over and over again.
