Right now I'm doing an all water type run in Y. I do a lot of swapping around between gyms so the only constants are an over-leveled azumarill and an HM slave bibarel.

I never could find another snake that wasnt redundant (Onix,Arbok,Zygarde)

They could take some serious hits but couldn't pack enough punch to make it in online battles

All Ground/Something. It's probably much better than my Grass or Water team (though water is a good type; the teams I make... not so much), even though there are better alternatives (Garchomp and Swampert, mostly).

On my first playthrough I only use pokemon introduced in that gen (this includes new evos/formes/megas). I try to avoid duplicate types or colors, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

On my second I do a mono-grass run.
