Got irl stuff in order so I can make time for sr again. Raikou shiny sr was too ambitious so hes dropped. A trade in store finally had a gen 3 game so I went and got it and had a new battery put in.

Now I can finally attempt to sr for shiny rayquaza. Pre elite four Atm so getting close

Still on my hunt for shiny Taillow. So far, got 11 Wingulls, 3 Zangoose and 2 Seviper. I actually feel like I'm continuing less for the shiny itself and more for not wasting the hunt and all those shinies.

Just posted in the last thread not knowing it had ended.

Weird question, but is there an *easier* way to get the Shiny Charm than actually going out and catching all the Pokemon, and then subsequently trading for the unavailables/ legendaries? Has a guide been written on this? I've now got several 6IV Zorua, so I'm taking a short break from my hunting to WT and breed up some viable teammates, and I wanted to ask this question in the meantime.

For legendaries touch-trade someone.

For everything else get a pokemon you cannot get in current games, breed it and leave the babies on GTS asking for what you do not have. Specially trade specific pokemon, such as porygon-Z.

That was how I did it.

Find a Pokemon that can't be obtained directly in X and Y, something like an Elgyem or a Mudkip. Helps if it has HA.

Breed a couple boxes and repeatedly put these up on GTS asking for whatever Pokemon you need. You'll get nearly anything you ask for (except legends) within an hour or two at the very maximum.

No new shines for me this week. Still trying to breed 6IV fathers for all egg groups and still on Shroomish. I did have a 6IV male but I made a very stupid mistake and lost it. I have a 6IV female now but haven't gotten another hexa male yet. Still have a few egg groups to get the fathers for but I have the mons I'm going to use for them chosen. I'm starting to think I'll get another shiny Shroomish before another 6IV male.

Considering the chances of getting hexaperfect as a Shiny would likely be unfeasible, and considering 25 is a bretty güd number, I say you should use the Shiny.

So, I have nearly a box full of shiny pokemon that I honestly don't care for.
I like to have my shines nicknamed because MUH SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE (but really, its just because they stick out like a sore thumb on my teams with no name)

So, hoping NOT to cause a shitstorm here, I'm basically giving them away for whatever.
If you see anything in this image that you want, by all means ask for it.
Its gonna be first come first serve, and really I don't have a whole lot of 'quality' shines on this list and about 7 aren't kalos born.

If you had any shinies that you don't particularly want anymore, you can send them my way in return (though it'd be cool if you surprised me with a nickname) but really you can send me anything, breeding leftovers, derps whatever.

Plz be nice to each other, I don't want to spread hatred in our happy little community that is /shw/.

Guys, I'm wondering something, and maybe your experiences will confirm or deny my theory.

First, here are the shinies I met by horde spamming on Route 8 on Y : 12 Wingull, 4 Zangoose, 2 Seviper (while hunting Taillow).

What I wonder by seeing this is, doesn't different pokes inside a single horde (in that case, Zangoose and Seviper) have an equal chance of being shiny (that is, if one of them can be shiny, it's 50 % being Zangoose and 50 % being Seviper), not taking into consideration how many of them there may be ?

I'm waiting for your answers.

Nah, if you can get two 5-6IV parents with a female (or non-ditto parent) with the right ability, you should be fine. Shiny charm is highly advised, but I still don't have it. I've had a good Scyther (penta-flawed, with a 20 in SpDef, all other 31's) in 19 eggs, but no Poochyena in over 800, and I'm trying for Rattled->Moxie, but I really don't know if I'll care that much at this point, and I can't speak for you. It all depends on how picky you and and if you wanna use it competitively, or just admire the feat.

I really like Sableye's shiny though. I say go for it!
