Digimon for the anime
Pokémon for the games
I've only really seen all of Digimon Frontier 1/2, Data squad and the season where the kids became the digimon (I forget what that season was called but I liked it). Really the only Season I've seen every episode of that I didn't like was Tamers. I played Digimon world 3 on the PS1 and fucking loved it until my dickhead of a stepfather let it get scratched so bad it wouldn't play anymore. I never got to finish the game. I've played Digimon world Dawn/Dusk (I own both) and find them really enjoyable but not as fun as any Pokémon game. The only other digimon game I've played was Digimon world Championship and I HATE that game. I just can't get into the way the battles and training work. For me training the digimon and battling with them are most of the fun. The whole 'put digimon here to gain (Insert trait here)' and not being able to control your digimon in battles is boring and takes all the fun out of the games.
I recently started watching the Pokémon anime again and am currently on the Hoenn region. I enjoyed some of the episodes, mostly from the Kanto/Johto regions but that was probably more nostalgia than anything as I actually saw those arcs as a kid. For the most part I haven't payed much attention to the anime and have barely been listening to it as I get more occupied with what I'm doing while listening to the anime. Which is playing the games. I've always loved the Pokémon games and I don't see that ever changing. I like Pokémon more than Digimon overall but the Digimon anime is far superior to the Pokémon anime while the Pokémon games are better than the Digimon games.
