I loved both games, they're my favorite Gamecube titles but the only con i can think of in Colosseum is that, you start with both espeon and umbreon, which in Pokemon XD, you get to pick which eevee you want.

They hadn't even made the split between physical and special moves in gen 3, not to mention the fact that 40% or so of the Pokedex didn't even exist yet.

About the only upside I can think of, is that either Colosseum or GoD (I forget which) is the one and only time in the history of main Pokemon games that it has been possible to get a Lunatone in your party early on and have it be useful too.

yfw ORAS features a boat that goes to the orre region, each with their own gym. Snaggable pokemon make their return but you still play as yourself wearing that cool snagem arm.

I prefer Colosseum, the higher difficulty and darker atmosphere made up for the lack of available Pokémon. But I also really enjoyed Gale of Darkness.

Same anon. Stopping to really think about it, I think what I enjoyed most about Colosseum was it was well paced. Not so much in levels due to the massive level spike at Realgam but the acquisition of Pokemon. How many Shadow Pokemon were on Citadark Island?

I think this is where Colosseum's smaller catchable roster worked in its favour.

Is it even possible to get the Lucky Egg with your in-game team? You have to beat 4 or 5 trainers who all have an EV-trained team to get it.
One thing I didn't understand about GoD why GoD also had the Johto starters. A blessing for the people who didn't have Colosseum or Emerald, but a small annoyance for the people who did. But then again, GoD missed more Kanto Pokémon that weren't catchable in R/S/E (not counting Meowth).

Colosseum was much harder. Admins had strategies they used like:
>Miror B used Rain Dance + Swift Swim combo
>Dakim using Earthquake/Muddy Water + Protect combo
>also used Sunny Day + Solarbeam combo later
>Venus used Attract + Confuse + status combo
>Ein used Rain Dance + Thunder + Lightningrod combo
>also used Toxic + Protect/Fly combo
And in eXtra Dimensions they had almost none, and everything was made easier levelwise. Not to mention that you need to have somewhat good strategy to beat Evice due to his level difference to yours, unless you used legendary beasts, which made everything too easy, while Greevil has same leveled team as you probably do, and you can use shadow pokes to make his team almost helpless.

Look at the Pokemon you face for the 100th battle of Mt Battle in Colosseum and then compare it to God's final battle. Hell, compare the battles before it too, like 91 was a very nasty doubles rain team in GoD.

Then there was the Desert Colosseum which was basically an early version of the battle frontier challenges, hell I never even managed to fully beat it.

Just various things like that, GoD managed to be downright hard for me sometimes.

But again we're talking post game vs main game. Colosseum made you deal with proper doubles strats with a ragtag band of misfits. Post game is designed with you transferring your hardened veterans in mind.

Arguably worst team imo, they weren't all that interesting,

Post game is complete BS too as it's impossible to beat the Orre Coliseum without bringing in teams from Emerald unless you just happened to get extremely lucky with correct natures/IVs and are able to build yourself a decent team with what you have.
