The ghost didn't creep me out so much as the music. If I were walking through the town to get to Saffron or Fuchsia, I would always make sure to get out before the refrain started. Cree. Pee.

No specific Pokemon ever really scared me. As a kid I'd take Fearow or Mewtwo to see the ghost at Lavencer and chuckled when they were too scared to move.

The Old Chateau and the route leading to Giratina's place though were creepy for me at night especially because of the music. The other ghosts in the series have been pretty creepy too, like the disappearing woman near Snowpoint and the disappearing girl at the bridge in BW.

Not Snowpoint, but the route leading to it has that house with a woman who gives you an item and is gone the next time you enter. A trainer nearby mentions about a female ghost or something too.
