Would still have to be growlithe/arcanine, because as much as I love the mon I don't like the shiny. I'd make it more silver with red flames, or even with tinges of blue. I don't know, I really just don't like the gold.

Alice Imo try playing each of your sets in an online battle simulator to see first hand which one you like the most. I find I can never teambuild or find movesets too well unless I'm sinking in time to read up on the meta and battle Bc the experience and intuition isn't there

I've got all the event pokemon, all I've got left to do is:

Feed a Thunder Stone to Eelektrik, a Moon Stone to Munna and a Sun Stone to Jumpluff
Run around the Prism Tower with Buneary and Swadloon for friendship then level them up
Then the really fun part, grind 96 BP for an Up-Grade, Magmarizer and Electizer and trade Porygon, Magmar, Electabuzz, Feebas and Dusclops with their items for their evolutions.

I'm actually listening to some poketuber who's about to compare offensive and defensive arcanine sets. I think it's because of extreme speed actually - Arcanine learns it at level 34, so if you want both on your set, you have to have FB as an egg move. Kind of annoying.

Greninja is the new Charizard, I can actually see it getting two mega's.

Fun Fact in case any of you didn't know, in ratio to the other two members of a regional trio, Froakie is the most preferable starter of all time, almost 50% of players choosing Froakie at the start of their adventure, whereas Charmander was second most popular,approximately 40% of players choosing Charmander at the beginning of their adventures.

They also share the same Shiny Palette.

This means that in 10 years time, there will be kids who have the same cherished memories and fondness/nostalgia for Greninja, that current nostalgiafags have today for Charizard.

It took almost 2 decades, but Game Freak finally created a Pokémon that could one day be pushed more than Charizard.

Greninja will have at LEAST one Mega before the end of this Generation, mark my words.

Charizard on the other hand, I just fucking love because... not sure why. Same reason anyone likes anything.

Genwunenrs like Charizard because they had him when they were little and shun other mons with some GenII exceptions simply because Charizard was there first and so "he's the best." But if the GenVI starters had been swapped with first Gen, then they'd be humping Delphox and shitting on how gay and fat Charizard is.

Me, I just fucking love Charizard. Greninja also leaped to my top ten, maybe top 5, favorite mons the second I raised him in X. Know what I mean? Someday, maybe something could replace Charizard as my favorite, unlikely, sure, but just because he was first doesn't make him best. Feraligatr used to be my runner-up fave, but he got bumped down by how fucking rad Blaziken was. So yea, rant over. Know what I mean, though?

tl;dr if Charizard was a GenVI Pokemon I'd probably like him just as much as I do now (maybe after a few years of using him with a few runthroughs under our belts).

Flash fire is kinda fun for offensive sets though. Feels good to predict a fire move on the switch and get that boost.
