In Colosseum and XD, people have really weird names. I believe this is because you are supposed to be put into the shoes of somebody traveling a strange "faraway land." Nobody is really named "Justy," "Infin," or "Gonzap." The names are meant to sound foreign to you, but I believe they are not the people's real names.
Eagun is an old retiree in Agate Village. He still keeps his first ever Pokemon with him, a high-leveled Pikachu. He is a fanatic for the Pokemon Ho-Oh, which he has seen "at least twice." Sound like anybody else..?
His granddaughter is Rui, a red-haired girl who bears a striking resemblance to Misty. Judging by the technology, the games take place in a distant future, and like Ash's Pikachu, Eagun's Pikachu fluctuates in level at the start of a new adventure; it is level 50 in Colosseum and 10 in XD.
