What? I think you're getting mixed up. There is nothing to indicate that pokemon that can evolve with a stone can't mega evolve. It's actually saying that a pokemon that can already evolve (through levelling, trading or with a stone) cannot mega evolve. So flaaffy can't mega evolve because it levels up to ampharos, Haunter can't mega evolve because your need to trade it to become gengar and gloom can't mega evolve because it can become vileplume or bellossom with stones but it's possible their final evolutions can. Mega stones just mean that the pokemon will not evolve further, like with Mawile.

I have to admit that I think Mega Evolutions have become the new cop-out for Game Freak to not have to make significantly different designs and make new evolutions.

I want to see something more akin to Digimon where you can have two different Pokemon evolve into the same one. Take Dedenne for example. Kinda looks like a mini Raichu, right? What if it could ALSO evolve into Raichu?

Also, there are so many Pokemon without evolutions that they're just making metas for because it's easier.

Plus, you can only have one mega on a team, and so many Pokemon are better in their mega forms and therefore often aren't worth having on your team without their mega. This pisses me off. More regular evolutions, please.

By the way, why the FUCK doesn't Luvdisc evolve in Alamalolalmalaomalomala (I don't know that thing's name, but it sucks ass and has a dumb name that I don't remember, so fuck it).

No its a list of trademarks TPC registered in June 2012 for mega evolutions.
Venusaur and Swampert are not on the list as they have existing trademarks that expire 2019 and 2016

I'd like to know for sure. I mean, when I said that it "makes sense", what I actually meant was "yeah, it's 1:30am and I am fucking tired", because I don't see why you'd need to register trademarks for mega evolutions. It's just tacking "Mega" onto the front of an existing trademark. I doubt there are even trademarks for the existing metas, but I could be wrong.

I want Mea-Kyogre and Mega-Groudon who are able to summon permanent weather again. I mean nature/weather is the theme of RSE so it should get a buff and it's fitting that Kyogre and Groudon are the only Pokemon to be able to summon permanent weather, plus it's kinda uncool that they currently share their initially world-changing ability with a bunch of pokemon like ninetales and politoed.
