Even though I've been playing X/Y for a while, I just recently noticed how the new Exp. Share REALLY works.

Without taking into account the many factors that will alter experience gain:
- You gain a total of 100% of the Experience Yield when only one of your party Pokémon participates in battle, with the Exp. Share turned OFF.
- You gain a total of 350% of the Experience Yield if only one Pokémon participates in battle while having a full party, with the Exp. Share turned ON.
Therefore, there is no disadvantages in having the Exp. Share turned on. The only inconvenience I can think of is the need to having to turn it off when EV-training because of the EV distribution among all the party Pokémon.
What was Game Freak thinking? I sincerely hope something will be changed about this in ORAS, in a new patch for X/Y, or in Gen VII-onwards.
