So I've been downloading ROM hacks lately and a lot of them seem like utter garbage. Are there any that are good, or at least unique?

I'm playing Glazed right now and it's pretty legit and fun. Weirdly though the first third of the game is pretty challenging but then it gets back to Pokemon's normal babby tier levels.

For DS games, there are Drayano's hacks that make the games better without any drawbacks: Blaze Black/Volt White (also available for B2/W2) and Spirit Gold/Storm Silver for HG/SS.
As for fakemons, there's always Quartz, which is an experience one must have. Also, it's completely finished and afaik devoid of game-breaking bugs
