It would basically be like having a roommate, but that roommate can move shit with their mind like it's nothing. I would keep it safely within the pokemonzone.
Now, when I have suggested this before, yandere has been the general negative that people bring up, but I think that you could be friends with a Gardevoir, and not have the crazy jilted lover thing happen.
Then I could use it to steal from anywhere using teleport as my weapon.I'd never have to worry about food again.
