It's weird, its kike sending not only the pokemon back in time, but sending other pokemon after hoenn back into the past. For example, the BW protags are probably children by the time we transfer ourfourth, fifth, and sixth gen pokemon back to hoenn. It's like you going back in time before you existed. Also expect Fennel.

Why do people think ORAS is going to be getting a day/night cycle? Gen III had no day or night even though Gen II did. Do you people really think Gamefreak is really going to put in the extra effort in to give you day/night? Hell they didn't put in any triple/rotation battles in game in Gen V, didn't keep seasons in Gen VI, or the apricorn balls, contests, dance, seals, or pokeathalon. But every Hoennbaby suddenly thinks, after bitching about all the other games for fifteen years, that they'll be having triple sky battles with champions Steven/Wallace and their mega Pokemon at night in their secret base. Do you really expect every single game to have all the same features? That's exactly what non-fans complain about - "hurr each pokemon game is the same, it's all a rehash"

Game Freak adds and removes stuff to give each game its uniqueness. If FRLG had contests there'd be no extra reason to buy a Hoenn game if you didn't already have one. If HGSS had underground, there goes another thing that Sinnoh had all to itself.

You can't expect facilities and gameplay features to stay forever, but day/night has been standard for 3 generations now. Seasons were only in 1 generation, and they seem to be something that Game Freak wants Unova to have exclusively, at least for now.

Second, look at Gamefreaks history with remakes. I posted a link earlier of what they changed. They change almost nothing except for type/stats/special split, except for when they shoehorned in a Safari Zone in (you know a "kanto thing") into HGSS. They aren't changing shit in ORAS

What about the Pokeathlon and the permanent walking Pokemon gimmick? The former was extremely necessary and never before seen, but they added it anyway. The latter, while not a new schtick, was still unprecedented. IMO those are bigger changes than adding day/night, which is a feature seen in every game for the last ten years.

If HGSS got a new facility, Hoenn can follow the laws of space.

It's a very fleshed out minigame. Much more effort to program than turning the lights off after a certain time.

Also, remember that ORAS are almost certainly going to run on the XY engine, which presumably already has day/night programmed into it. The original games were a brand new engine, and, the GBA had shitastic lighting, so that probably contributed to the decision to make it eternal day. Now we have the technology to have a proper day/night cycle for the games that fully introduced time based events (GSC didn't really place emphasis on them).

Not changing level scaling is probably to keep the integrity of the original game, and is unrelated to mechanics updates.

All you fags who think the remakes won't have Day/Night ate gonna get btfo. We've had the cycle for three generations in a row, but four altogether with a break. The only reason Gen III didn't was because the first GBA had such a dark screen that a nighttime period would be almost unseeable.
They may tend to keep many things the same in remakes, but they won't take out the standard of Day/Night just because if 2003's hardware issues

Actually, RSE had day/night, it just wasn't visible. Remember the clock you set at the beginning of the game? That was in charge of the ingame time. That's why you had to trade Eevee over from FRLG over tp them if you wanted Espeon/Umbreon.

And weren't accessible unless you lived near the distribution locations, wherever they were (or lived in Japan in the case of Mew)

With the whole worldwide release thing, something as important as catching an event on an ingame location should be something they'll give to everyone this time around.

ORAS will be built on the XY engine. It would take more work to edit the day/night cycle OUT of the games than just keep it.

This MAY mean the inclusion of other features from XY, too. But who knows.
