There's also Meowstic, but yeah, there hasn't been any of the subtle differences that Gen 4 first introduced (and showed off with the Gen 1-3 Pokemon too). Now the gender differences are very drastic. Which aren't bad either, but it does make me wonder if they'll return to the subtle ones.

Horns come in different sizes.
Aggron, Heracross, Pinsir and Rhydon for example.

Spiritual belief is very common and they take things like demons and spirits very seriously, notice any demon pokemon? There's a reason there aren't any.

Katanas alone are not offensive, but they were war weapons and a part of a grim history, and to have one animated by a dead spirit would show great disrespect.

That's a brown Pinsir and a blue/green Pinsir. That's not a slight variation at all. Slight variation would be a brown Pinsir and a light brown Pinsir and a dark brown Pinsir. Then the shiny could change accordingly.

Its just that adding in all these little gooey yummy extras into the game is time consuming so they don't do it

Why do you think we lost overworld sprite pokemon that followed you? Because they were extremely tedious to put into the game and they don't have the time for labors of love like this

I just wanted to say that I'm severely disappointed that Klefki, a pokemon who supposedly takes random keys from anyone, only has one set of keys to be displayed. It was the perfect chance to give that little guy a gimmick like that.
