At least Ice is a good attacking type. Psychic isn't even good offensively.

Its not a bad type to have defensively and most Psychic types usually have a high Sp.Atk which can translate well into neutral and coverage moves.

Ice is such a huge liability as a defensive type that you're better off slapping an Ice Beam TM to a water type.
