you get 6 pokemon man, there's how many?
Of course you should have good judgment and predict the first pokemon to send out. But it's still a coinflip, and I can guarantee that they have one of the typical leads. Tyranitar, Metagross, Rotom-W/Rotom-H. Ferrothorn. If they don't have something typical to lead with, then its 100% coin flip to begin with.
If it were even ground they'd make it more like a fighting game and not an RPG.
What I'm getting at is there is no freaking point in being competitive if you're going to use the same typical shit that you don't even like. It's obviously a matter of opinion but it's definitely not winning to me. Winning to me is a Meowstic taking down a blaziken, a mewtwo and a xerneas just because you let it use it's full potential. If you're going to support people who play to simply win, then why should evasion and swagger be banned? It's the exact same crap, just an easier method to get what you like to work when you do play competitively.
People get so mad when something uses minimize because they're brainwashed into believing it's illegal or cheap. It's part of the pokemons god damn move pool, it's there to be used. It's no more uber than red herb xerneas. Any pokemon can be uber and viable, just let it happen.
