I haven't played pokemon in a long time and I plan on playing it again when ORAS comes out. But there is clearly something I'm missing.

What the hell is a mega evolution? I've never seen these before.

Also what the hell is mewthree?

Mega evolutions are temporary forms certain Pokemon can transform into during battle. They get a 100 BST boost, and can gain new abilities and typings.

There is no Mewthree. Mewtwo does have two mega evolutions now, though.

Mega evolution is something a select group of pokemon can do in battle. These pokemon can mega evolve if they are holding their mega stone. Pokemon that are mega evolved have higher stats, and some have new abilities or types. Note that only one pokemon on your team can mega every battle.
Mewthree doesn't exist. However, Mewtwo has two different mega options to choose from.
