>>19557507>It gained knock-off buff, which was huge, but not for dark types themselvesGaining a higher-powered, spammable STAB move that removes items is not good for Dark types?
>it's a shittier ghost type offensively, and defensively, it's still weak to fighting and bug, and now fairyGhost doesn't not have an 80 BP priority move, Pursuit, and it is not one of the only types (only other being fucking normal) which resists ghost.
>it's still weak to fighting and bug, and now fairyFunnily enough, Absol got Play Rough, which sort of helps with its fighting typing weakness
And if we accept that very little uses bug attacks (pretty much only U-Turn, Mega Horn (poor distribution) or Bug Buzz (literally just Volcarona),) Dark really only had one important weakness last gen.
>It was one of the most common attacking types in the metaThis is outright false. In Gen 1 it was just garbage. In Gen 2 and 3, Heracross was good, that was it. Gen 4, Scizor became good. And that was pretty much it until Pinsir got a mega (doesn't even use it bug STAB) and Scolipede got speed boost.
Xerneas is a box legendary with a move that doubles its SpA, SDef and Spe and its ability gives it a free Life Orb boost on its STAB. Fairy typing is only a part of a reason why it's good, and it's leagues more powerful than any other Fairy.
>try regular MedichamShit. And it can 2HKO Fairies anyway with banded HJK
>HeracrossIt also dies to common Talonflames. You're literally acting as though a new weakness has ruined fighting types, when most fairies are almost exclusively used in a defensive fashion and a number of fighting types have a secondary STAB, coverage moves or just raw power such that fairies are a non-issue.
Also Roserade does not carry Dazzling Gleam on any of its common sets, and it barely even 2HKOs Mega Heracross with that anyway. Roserade actually has the option to use Technician HP Fire, which hits you harder.
