I'm holding my breath because how many Emerald elements are there is what's going to make or break this game. Things are looking quite ominous right now and I sure do hope that's a Battle Frontier behind the clouds on that map and not another fucking battle tower. I'm really hoping that they take a page from HG/SS and at least put SOME of that third game polish in there but then there's the bit about not being able to fight both teams anymore and I hope that's not a sign of things to come.

It looks way better than the old one, now it actually looks like it was made by a professional and not some shitty dA illustrator.

It's technically a good map, both by accurately portraying the in-game world and making it look prettier.
The fact that you think it's shitty doesn't mean it is, it means you have shit taste.

Review so far:

Pros:
+Based off the map we have contests back
+We have Trick Master back
+Battle Frontier covered by clouds, but we can assume it's back
+Colours aren't washed out like in X/Y
+Game looks like it's stretched out a bit to compensate for the 3DS proportions (the game won't feel short).
+Looks like there may be a lot more places to visit****

The cons:
-Square puddles
-Taking a step backward from X/Y when it comes to detail
-Might be/is rushed

Wildcards:
~Separate Pokemarts
~New Megas
~Redesigns of things

Everything in every pokemon game is a square though, even the circles look squary.
This isn't because the games are being rushed out but because (imo) that's the artistic approach GF's going for.

Everything in XY was squary, even the paths.
It's not a game that supposed to look realistic.
If it looked like Colosseum/XD or Battle Revolution and I saw a square puddle I'd be confused but this is a handheld, a square puddle looks okay because everything else looks like it's made out of legos!
