>>19597668>no fucking itemsRight, because an ability that doubles as Mold breaker (on sturdy) AND a Choice Band /with no penalty/ isnt worth it.
Kangaskhan learning whatever it wants isnt "hurr it gets fire blast xD!" its "It can get Seismic Toss and other Gen 3 move tutors move and the ability that is 90% of the reason its so goddamn broken at the same time; Lugia cannot."
Blaziken can get Baton Pass and Speed boost together now, because previously Baton Pass was exclusive to - wait for it - Gen 3 tutors.
Now it gets it by breeding I think, but also even if it didn't (and maybe it doesnt, I dont check Blaziken's moveset) it doesnt matter because Blaze Blaziken still becomes Speed Boost Mega Blaziken.
megas get the ability that makes them broken in addition to whatever move they want, and they have breeding pools.
Legendaries cannot breed and are given movepools based on what was possible at any one time, instead of literally anything that was ever possible.
On top of that, megas have shitretarded stats and the lack of an item isnt that big of a hindrance, since the best items had drawbacks that mega evolving doesnt anyway. Again, like being locked into a move, or not breaking Focus Sash.
Your argument applies perfectly for Mega alakazam, who cannot hold a focus sash and doesnt outdamage LO Alakazam either, meaning its neither stronger nor more capable of surviving damage with its mega stone than it is without, and thats why Alakazam is objectively better or at least tied with Mega Alakazam.
