I thought Jynx qas the female humanoid counterpart to Mr. Mime when back in gen1 there were no genders in game. Plus same threatment in the following games and gens, only a pre evo compared to the fire and electric duo. Now since gen6 both share the psychix type and are different for the ice and fairy tyoe only. Also Mr. Mime being somehow of a pixie and Jynx of a witch/legend also supports this second magic couple as counterpart to the elemental one.
I wish both Mr. Mime and Jynx get in either gen7 if will ever happen or a mega at least. But I also can't see why those should be introduced in Hoenn rather than during a whole new gen presentation.
