Early in the anime, they made it clear Pokemon will eat other Pokemon, such as when Ash used Caterpie to try and catch a Pidgeotto.

Do they still shy away from Pokemon biology in the anime? Is it ever said or shown that Pokemon based on carnivores, or even omnivores, eat other Pokemon? Shouldn't a Braviary eat an Emolga?
