What was everyone's general reaction whan Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby was unveiled?

I have not been on this board in a while but just before they did the Nintendo Direct for X and Y I remember a few people saying it was Ruby and Sapphire, but everyone else pretty muched ripped on them and said that no chance in hell would Nintendo ever release remakes of Ruby and Sapphire because graphically, they didn't need a remake.

that's not the reason people thought they didn't need remakes, it was because the first 2 gens weren't compatible with the game.

I'm excited for the remake, Sapphire sucked shit and I can't wait for them to fix everything that was wrong in it. From the poor and limited audio samples, missing the Day/Night cycle, the Tiny ass Pokédex, to the washed out colours.
The only thing that upsets me so far is that they're keeping the bikes as 2 different entities again. I hate it when games force backtracking because you need a certain item to progress and only lets you hold one item, it's terrible game design.

I never thought we'd get remakes outside of the two originally planned generations. This really open the floodgates, it implies DP remakes. I never even thought that would be a conversation. I imagine by the time those are released a lot of people (definitely myself included) will want another Gen 1 remake. How's that going to work?

After the initial shock wore off in a day or two, I got worried about the lack of concrete info and left the hype train. Things are looking better now that we have screenshots and my hopes for this games are rekindled but one burning question still remains that makes me hesitate on pre-ordering: How many Emerald elements are going to make it in? Delta Emerald seems like the logical next step.
They left so many things with XY, like Zygarde's formes, AZ Floette, Hoopa and Volcanion. Maybe all of those will have a place there.
Pretty much how we got Pt and shortly after HGSS, but reversed.

What is reading comprehension?

I specifically said the sequel was for XY but launched AFTER ORAS. I didn't specifically say because of the trademark name, but because it's a way for GameFreak to make a quick buck.

If you think about it, a real shocker would be releasing Delta Emerald BUT instead of Rayquaza, have Primal Zygarde be the mascot.

First interest. Then frustration when I saw how excited everybody was.

I remember the old days. The Dark Ages, when everybody dropped out of Pokemon. They all grew out of it, said it was "stupid." Thought Hoenn's Pokemon didn't look like "real" Pokemon. I felt alone, abandoned. Left to journey solo.
